We build the digital capability your organisation has been missing.

Aethelbridge designs, builds and operates websites, software, apps and business systems for UK organisations of every size, from small businesses taking their first serious digital step to established organisations whose systems need to work together.

A first conversation carries no charge and no obligation.

Good organisations get stuck for the same three reasons.

They are not sure what it will cost. They are not sure the work is relevant to a business of their size. And they have been sold something before that did not do what it promised. Research by the OECD into technology adoption among UK small and medium-sized businesses identifies exactly those three barriers: cost, perceived relevance, and trust in technology vendors.

We built Aethelbridge to answer all three, and we answer them on this website rather than waiting for a sales call.

Sectors

What “good” looks like depends on the sector you are in.

A care provider needs consent and safeguarding designed in. A financial firm needs audit trails. A school needs accessibility that stands up to inspection. We build to the requirements of the sector, not around them.

How We Work

We publish how we work, because you should be able to see it before you commit.

Every Aethelbridge engagement follows the same seven stages: Listen, Define, Design, Build, Prove, Launch, and Support and Improve. We write the requirements down before we write any software. We tell you what you will receive at each stage. And we are still there after launch, because that is when software actually has to work.

We publish our method because trust in technology providers is a known barrier for smaller organisations. You should be able to see how we work before you commit to anything.

Our Products

We build for clients. We also build for ourselves.

Aethelbridge Care is our own product: a care, safety and coordination platform connecting supported individuals, their families, verified care professionals and care organisations. Building it teaches us what real users do, what breaks, and what it takes to support software properly.

Aethelbridge Care supports care coordination, communication and safety awareness. It does not replace professional medical advice, emergency services or clinical judgement.

Why we build our own products

What you get from working with us.

  • Honest scoping

If you do not need it, we will tell you, even when it means less work for us.

  • Documentation as standard

Requirements written down, decisions recorded, nothing agreed only in conversation.

  • Accessible by default

We design for the least confident user, because that is usually who gets excluded.

  • We stay after launch

Software is not finished when it goes live, and neither is our involvement.

  • Plain English throughout

Translating the technical is our job, not yours.

  • Enterprise standards, sensible scale

The size of your organisation does not change the standard of the work.

What It Costs

Most technology companies avoid this conversation. We will not.

Cost is one of the main reasons smaller organisations put off work they know they need. So we explain what drives cost, how we price, and how you keep control of it before you speak to anyone.
